Malegaon is situated about 15 km south-west of Lawha, in Nanded District. It lies near the district’s border with Latur District and is around 47 km from Nanded. Ahmedpur is the nearest major settlement on the other side of the border, situated in Latur District.
Malegaon is famous for the annual Malegaon Yatra, held in honour of Lord Khandoba. The event is attended by scores of devotees from far and near.
