Kharosa is a small village located in
Latur District of
Maharashtra. It is about 45 km from
Latur.
The village is beautiful traditional settlement with a long artistic and cultural history. The various heritage components seen here are fortress houses (Garhis), fortifications, water structures and vernacular housings.
The place is also renowned for its caves, which were built around the 6th century. Other attractions include the beautiful sculptures of Narasimha, Shiv-Parvati, Kartikeya and Ravana.
Nearest major railhead is the Latur Railway Station, on the Latur-Pandharpur-Miraj rail route. Regular buses connect Kharosa with Latur and
Udgir.
