Korat is situated 16 km west of Kinwat, almost midway between Kinwat and Dhanki, in south-western Yavatmal District. It lies about 30 km north-west of Chikli.
Painganga Wildlife Sanctuary and Tipeshwar Wildlife Sanctuary are enticing getaways in the wilderness, suited for a short trip. Chintamani of Kalamb, Mahadeo Temple at Moho village and Sahastrakund Waterfalls are other tourist options in the neighborhood.
