Kelshi Mahalakshmi Temple




Kelshi Mahalakshmi Temple is an ancient shrine located at Kelshi in Ratnagiri District of Maharashtra. Kelshi is a tourist village on the border of Raigad and Ratnagiri districts.

This delightful shrine is dedicated to Goddess Lakshmi, the goddess of prosperity. It is believed to have been built in 1808. The temple reflects the splendor of Peshwa architecture.

Beleshwar, Radha-krishna Temple, Utambarkarni Devi Temple, Ganapati Temple and Bhai Miya Bhet are the nearby places of worship.

Kelshi is about 240 km from Mumbai. The nearest railway station is at Khed. The temple can be reached from Dapoli (58 km) viz Anjarle (26 km).
