Kakuli Lake

Kakuli Lake is a little known tourist spot situated in Kakuli village in Maharashtra. It is just a one and a half hour drive from Mumbai. Among the local villagers the lake is known as G P Tank. Away from the hustle of the city, it offers an ideal getaway for those who wish to spend some time in the wilderness and solitude of unspoilt nature.

Cranes, parrots, bulbuls, and kingfishers are spotted by the lake. The reflection of Badlapur hill on the opposite side of the lake, in the placid waters, is a beautiful sight. Tawli Guha, situated on a nearby hill, is another point worth visiting.
