Dhule is situated on the banks of the Panjhra River. The district is located in the north-western part of the state of
Maharashtra. It is bordered by
Jalgaon District in the east,
Nasik District in the south, the state of
Gujarat in the west and the state of Madhya Pradesh in the north. The town of Dhule is the headquarters. Dhule has an area of 8,061 sq km. Bajra, jowar, cotton, wheat and sugarcane are the main crops. The temperature varies from 16
o C to 35
o C. The district receives an annual rainfall of 592 mm.

Dhule District is well connected with other part of the country by road and rail. The
