Located amid the picturesque hills of the Sahyadri ranges in the
Western Ghats, Indian Naval Ship Shivaji (INS Shivaji) is an ISO 9001:2000 certified naval training establishment. It imparts training to technical officers and engineering sailor of the Indian Navy and Coast Guard. Personnel from foreign navies are also trained here.
INS Shivaji conducts 81 courses with an annual throughput of approximately 5,500 personnel. There are separate departments for Marine Engineering, Cadets Training and Naval Engineering. Besides, it has all facilities including libraries, canteen, bank, shopping complex and auditorium.
