Basar

Basar village is situated, on the banks of the Godavari River, in Adilabad District. Basar is about 30 km from Nizamabad and 70 km from Nirmal.

Basar is famed for the temple of Goddess Saraswati located here. Mahashivratri and Navratri are celebrated with pomp and gaiety during February-March and September-October respectively.
