Situated on the border of
Kolhapur and
Sindhudurg districts, Dajipur Bison Sanctuary is a scenic spot near the backwaters of the Radhanagri dam. It is covered by rocky mountains and dense forests. Indian Bison (Gaur) is the main attraction of this wildlife sanctuary. Wild Deer, Chital, and Giant Squirrel are the other rare animals found. The sanctuary also offers a special trekking camp. Summer is the best season to visit the Sanctuary.
