Adilabad

Adilabad, the administrative headquarters of Adilabad District, is situated on the banks of Godavari River. It is a major industrial center of Andhra Pradesh. Hyderabad is 315 km south of Adilabad.

Main attractions are St Joseph's Church and Mahatma Gandhi Park.

Nearest airport is at Hyderabad. Adilabad is a prominent railhead on the Mudkhed-Adilabad meter gauge line of the South Central Railway. Regular buses connect Adilabad with Nizamabad , Karimnagar, Sangareddy and Nagpur.
