Bordi




Bordi is a small coastal town in Thane District, located off the MumbaiAhmedabad highway (National Highway 8). Located to the west of Amgaon, Bordi is close to the district’s border with Gujarat. It is 15 km north of Dahanu. Mumbai is 145 km south.

Bordi is noted for its pleasant and serene location. Parsi population dominates the area. Bordi – Dahanu Beach, dotted with verdant orchards and casuarinas, forms the prime attraction here. Mahalaxmi Temple, Santhoshi Ma Temple and Sai Baba Temple are some of the worship places in the area. Points of interest nearby include Udwada which houses the sacred fire of the Zoroastrians.

By road, Bordi is easily accessible from Dahanu Bus Station. Bordi Railway Station, served by the Western Railways, is on the Dahod – Ratlam rail route. Chhatrapati Shivaji International Airport is the nearest airport.
