Baramati is a famous place in
Pune District. Formerly under the rule of the Yadavas, it was taken over by the Bahmani rulers. Shirsufal Lake and Karaha River are located in this region. The Kashivishweshwar temple stands on the western bank of Karha River. Crops like wheat, sugarcane, cotton, and grapes are cultivated. There are many sugar factories here. Baramati houses numerous temples.
