Located 12 km south of
Savantwadi, Banda is a sleepy town in
Sindhudurg District. It lies to the south-east of Kudal.
Banda is an important trade center for beetle nut, cashew nut and coconut. Unnai Damsite and Talkat Garden on the outskirts of the town are worth visiting. Maneri to the south-east and Ajgaon to the south-west are among the surrounding places.
Savantwadi Road Railway Station, on the Margao-Kudal rail route, is the nearest railhead. Goa Airport is the nearest airport.
