Ratnagiri road and is 65 km north-west of Kolhapur.
Surrounded by dense forest, Amba is a perfect base for trekking and two hours trekking to the top of the hillock offers the picturesque views of Konkan and Deccan plateaus.
Ameni Malkapur to the north-west, Shahuwadi and Panhala to the south-east and Yelva to the south are nearby.
