Sodarpur is a small town in Raisen District and is situated 20 km east of Gairatganj. Bilwani is 17 km east and Bhopal, the capital city of the state, is 111 km west.
It is a prominent trekking base for those who are on their trail from Gairatganj to the Vindhya Range. Udaipura Temple and Ratapani Sanctuary are the major sites within a short distance from Sodarpur.
