Shivpuri District Museum is an archeological museum situated at
Shivpuri, in
Madhya Pradesh. Established in 1962, the museum exhibits a large collection of sculptures, coins and paintings of
Mughal, Rajput and Maratha schools. Informational lectures are organized occasionally. The museum also houses an excellent library.
Guide services are provided for the tourists on request.
Visiting hours:
May - June: 6:30 to 12:30 hrs.
July - April: 10:00 to 17:00 hrs
The museum remains closed on Mondays and government holidays.
