Nohta, located 27 km south-east of Damoh, is around 11 from Jabalpur. It is believed that, it was the capital of the Chandela Kings in the early 12th century. Nohta lies at the confluence of a small stream Guriaya and the river Berma. One can also see ruins of the Jain temples here.
