Tapti River




Tapti is one of the major rivers in central India that flows into the Arabian Sea. Rising in the Gawilgarh Hills of the central Deccan Plateau in south-central Madhya Pradesh state, the river flows through the states of Maharashtra and Gujarat on its way into the Gulf of Khambhat. The river Tapti flows in generally parallel course, between 80 and 160 km to the south of the Narmada.
