Lord Vayu is the God of the wind. He shares his power with Lord Indra. He rides a chariot drawn by two, ninety-nine, hundred or even thousand horses and is invisible. In Hindu mythology, Vayu is described as blue in color and as holding a fan and a flag in his two hands. He shows the Abhaya and Varada Mudras (signs indicating protection and granting of gifts) with the other two hands.
