Rahatgarh is a small town, situated on the banks of Bina River, in
Sagar District of
Madhya Pradesh. It is renowned for its battlement ramparts, gates and ruins of palaces, temples and mosques. Rahatgarh is about 60 km west of
Sagar on the
Bhopal-Sagar road.
Major point of attraction is the famous Rahatgarh Fort. The outer wall of the fort has 26 enormous towers, which were used as dwellings connected by curtain walls. About 3 km from the fort is a beautiful waterfall that cascades from a height of 15 m.
Nearest airport is at Bhopal. Sagar Railway Station lies on the Bina-Katni section of the Central Railways.
