The earliest Indo–Islamic building at
Mandu, Dilawar Khan’s Mosque was built in 1405, during the reign of Dilawar Khan Ghuri. He was the first known Muslim ruler of Mandu. It consists of a central entrance oriented east, a prayer room, and corridors on three sides. The pillars and the ceiling of the room testify that this mosque was built by Hindu workmen.
The nearest railway stations are at Ratlam (124 km) on the Mumbai-Delhi main line, and Indore (100 km.) Regular bus services connect Mandu with Indore and Bhopal.
