A renowned Been player, Ustad Razzab Ali Khan was one of the brightest Diamond of Malwa's music garland. He was born at
Narsinghgarh in
Madhya Pradesh in 1948.
Maharaja of Mysore awarded him with Sangeet Bhushan in 1909. Same year, the musical society of Mumbai prized him with the honour of Sangeet Samrat, while the Maharaja of Kolhapur awarded him with Sangeet Ratna.
In 1953, Dr Rajendra Prasad, the first President of India, honoured him with the highest award of Indian music. Ustad Razzab Ali Khan died in 1959.
