Vedakkadu Devi Temple is an ancient shrine located at
Porkulam in
Thrissur District of
Kerala. Porkulam lies on the
Kunnamkulam-Kattakampal route, about 5 km from Kunnamkulam.
The noteworthy feature of the temple is its dual prathista of Devi with dual
shrikovil. The famous Payyur Bhattathiris worshiped this temple for many years. It is said that even the trees of the forest around the temple will chant Vedas.
Kunnamkulam is about 22 km north of Thrissur, the cultural capital of the state. Guruvayoor Railway Station is the nearest railhead.
