Choorna Kizhi is a special treatment in traditional
ayurveda for diseases such as osteoarthritis, arthritis with swelling and spondylosis. In this treatment, mixtures of medicated oils filled in boluses are gently applied over the body simultaneously by two therapists. The relay of warm boluses with cold one should be continuously done until the person perspires considerably. The treatment is conducted by keeping the patient in sitting, supine, left lateral, right lateral and sitting position.
