Koothuparamba, also spelt Koothuparambu, is a residential locale situated in
Kannur District of
Kerala. This town lies on the
Thalassery-
Mattanur route.
The place is famous for a foot wear manufacturing factory and tread rubber manufacturing unit of RUBCO. Nirmalagiri College located here is a famous educational institution in the district.
Major points of attraction here are Trikkayikunnu Shiva Temple and a monument called Raktha Sakshi Mandapam. Peralassery Sri Subrahmanya Temple is on the Kannur-Koothuparamba route, about 15 km from Kannur.
Thalassery Railway Station is the nearest railhead. Regular buses connect Koothuparamba with Kannur, Thalassery, Panoor, Iritti, Periya and Mananthavady.
