Sita Devi Lake is an ideal picnic spot in
Devikulam, about 7 km from
Munnar. The lake, with its picturesque surroundings, mineral water, and trout-fishing and adventure sports facilities,is a favorite tourist destination. As the name indicates, the lake is associated with the goddess
Sita. Belief is that, Sita had bathed in the lake and made it sacred. Prior permission from Tata Tea Corporation is required to visit the lake.
Tea plantations and spice garden are nearby.
