Punkunnam

Punkunnam, also spelt Poonkunnam, is a residential area in Thrissur District of Kerala. It is around 3 km from Thrissur and 13 km from Wadakanchery.

A prime landmark here is the Lasya Academy of Mohiniyattam, a center for expert training in the art of Mohiniyattam. Kunnathuvalappil Ayur Chikitsa Kendram and Majlis Park are easily accessible from here.

Punkunnam Railway Station, the local railhead, is on the Thrissur-Wadakanchery railway line. Cochin International Airport is 58 km from Thrissur.
