Nemmara

Nemmara is a small town at the base of Nelliyampathy Hills in Palakkad District of Kerala. It is 4 km north of Pothundy and 10 km south of Alathur.

Nellikulangara Bhagavathi Temple is an important temple where an annual festival known as Nellikulangara Vela is held in March-April. Kummattikkali, Kaniyarkali and Sapthaham are the other festivals associated with the place. Nagasubramania Temple is located at Kannimangalam near Nemmara.

Surrounding places include Pudunagaram, Kilakkettara, Mangalam and Kollengode.

Palakkad is around 35 km north. Cochin International Airport and Coimbatore Airport are the airports nearby. Nearest major railhead is Palakkad Junction Railway Station. Kollengode Railway Station, on the Palakkad-Madurai meter gauge line, is another railhead nearby.
