Located in
Kasargod District of
Kerala, Bedadka is 6 km east of
Kasargod town. The name Bedadka is derived from the words 'Badi' meaning temple and 'adka' meaning ground and the old temple and the ground can still be seen here.
Bedadka arecanut is popular throughout India for its peculiar taste. Beedi (traditional cigar) making is the main livelihood of the people. Perdala Jaaram is situated atop a small hill and the Uroos celebrated here once in two years is very famous. Perdala Temple is another significant shrine.
Kanipura (north), Perdala (east) and
