Vettakkorumakan Kshethram

Vettakkorumakan Kshethram is situated at Alappadamba on Mathil-Trikkaripur Road in Kannur District. It is about half km distance towards east of Swami Junction on Payyanur-Cheemeni Road. The temple functions under the Thaippally Nair Family.

The main festival is the Theyyam held from 17th to 20th of the Malayalam month Medam (April-May). Oorpizhassi and Vettakkorumakan are the major theyyams performed here. Chandranellur Bhagavathi Temple, Malliyottu Palottukavu Aadaam Kovval, Karivellur Madappally Someswari Temple and Puliroopa Kali Temple are the major places of worship nearby.
