Manappullikkavu Vela is a major festival of
Manappullikavu Bhagavathi Temple, a 1200-year old shrine at
Yakkara in
Palakkad. The temple is dedicated to Bhagavati, an incarnation of
Goddess Shakthi. This annual festival usually falls in the month of March. It is witnessed by thousands of people from far and near.
