Nadukani, situated at an altitude of 3000 ft, is a charming hill station in
Idukki District,
Kerala. It is about 70 km from
Thodupuzha and is in close proximity to Kulamavu.
Nadukani(which means 'to see the country') is ideal for one day picnickers. The northern side is filled with blue hills vying to touch the sky. The excellent sight of the Muvattupuzha River (that snakes its way down), Moolamattam town, Malankara Lake and the Malankara reservoir etches in the memory for a long time. A two-storied pavilion provides ideal opportunity to enjoy the landscape. Another attraction nearby is the Moolamattom underground power station. You can also get a glimpse of the many rare species of fauna like the hornbill, wild rabbits, spotted sambhar, jungle mainah and elephants, as Nadukani forms one of the boundaries of
Idukki Wildlife Sanctuary.
Nadukani is on the Thodupuzha-Idukki route. This picturesque town is 25 km from Idukki.
