Thokku Koodaram is a special ayurvedic treatment in Kalari for patients suffering from all kinds of skin diseases. In this treatment, the patient is advised to rest in a special hut, surrounded by 16 varieties of herbal plants. These herbal plants produce a very healthy atmosphere which is conducive for healing skin diseases. Kattuthippali, neerthippali, akkaravu, ponkurandi, pathimugham, shanghupushpam, kattumulaku and aadalodam are the main herbal plants used for this treatment.
