Nilambur Road Railway Station is an important railhead in
Malappuram District. It is the terminus of the
Shoranur-
Nilambur railway line. Nedumkayam, famous for its rich rain forests, is 18 km away. Canolly's Plot, waterfalls, and ancient
kovilakams (residences of maharajas) and other places of tourist interest are accessible from the railway station.
Calicut Airport (at Karipur) is about 26 km from Nilambur town.
