Mazhoor Dharmikulangara Temple is located 5 km east of
Taliparamba in
Kannur District. The temple is now managed by Trichambaram Temple Committee. The main deity in the temple is
Balram, brother of
Sree Krishna. Legends have it that, every year Balram visits Sree Krishna at Trichambaram temple and they walk together to Pookkothu Nada. At the Pookkothu Nada they rejoice, dancing and blessing thousands of devotees who attend the festival. Only after the arrival of Balram on the 14th day, regular
pujas are offered to the deity.
