Also known as 'Kasi of the south,' it is a fine specimen of classical Kerala temple architecture. The temple is dedicated to Lord Vishnu. It is an architectural marvel with 30 granite pieces supporting the shrine and the floor paved with huge square granite blocks. Koothambalam is the main attraction of the temple. Papanasini River is situated nearby. Pakshipathalam, an interesting trekking center, is 7 km away.
