Manappattuchira is a small lake located at
Malayattoor, a Christian pilgrim center on the banks of the
Periyar. The trees surrounding the lake give a greenish tinge to the water. Boating facilities are available. The lake is also known by the name Malayattoor Lake.
KTDC Tourist Home, a hotel with all facilities for tourists, is on the shores of the lake. St Thomas Church and Sree Durga Bhagavathi Temple are nearby.
Manappattuchira Lake is around 50 km from Kochi. Angamaly Railway Station is 17 km away.
