Kadalundi Bird Sanctuary




Kadalundi Bird Sanctuary is situated 19 km from Kozhikode. It covers an area of 3 km, surrounded by hillocks and provides a splendid view of the river mouth and the sea. It is home to hundreds of native and migratory birds. Terns, gulls, herons, sandpipers, whimbrels and other exotic birds flock to this place in November and return in April. The sanctuary is also known for a wide variety of fish, mussels and crabs. Best time to visit is December to April.
