Malankara Reservoir is an artificial lake located on the
Thodupuzha - Moolamattom road. This famous picnic spot is 6 km from the town of Thodupuzha and is 66 km from
Kochi. This artificial lake was formed as part of the Muvattupuzha Valley Irrigation Project.
Malankara Reservoir provides a calm and charming atmosphere with the greenery in the surroundings. Visitors are allowed to enter the dam site with prior permission of the irrigation department. It is ideal for boating and fishing.
