Neriyamangalam

Located 32 km west of Munnar, Neriyamangalam is a picturesque town in Idukki District of Kerala. Lying on the banks of Periyar River, it is the entrance to the high ranges of Western Ghats.

The place is charmed with evergreen forests and water falls. Some interesting butterflies are found in the locality. District Agriculture Farm and Government Black Pepper Nursery are located here.

Cheeyappara Waterfalls and Valara Waterfalls on Kochi-Madurai highway are the nearest attractions. Thattakkad is 12 km north-west of Neriyamangalam.

Cochin International Airport is around 43 km west. The nearest railhead is Kottayam Railway Station.
