Kurichi village is located near
Changanacherry in
Kottayam District. It is about 2 km from Chingavanam on the MC Road connecting
Thiruvalla to
Kottayam.
The place is home to many renowned persons in the field of Kathakali and other arts and it was formerly known as Gurusreepuram. Later, this name was contracted to form Kurichi.
Karikulam temple, dedicated to Lord Krishna, is a prime attraction of Kurichi. From Kurichi, one can easily get to Panachikkad. The main places, which neighbors Kurichi, are Ittithanam, S Puram and Chelachira.
