Parambikulam, a small village, lies in the Annamalai Hills, south of the Palakkad Gap in the
Western Ghats. It is about 97 km from
Palakkad and 88 km from
Coimbatore. The area is hilly, rocky and drained by several rivers including the Sholayar and the
Periyar. It was once home to some of south India’s finest stands of teak.
The nearest airport is at Coimbatore, 55 km away. Palakkad Town Railway Station is the nearest railhead.
