Bethlehem Ashram is situated at Chengamanad in
Kottarakara, around 27 km east of
Kollam. It was founded by His Holiness Mathews II Catholicos (Mathews Mar Coorilose) in 1960. Currently three Rambans, 18 Priests and two Brothers actively involve as members of the ashram. The priests engage in discharging the responsibilities of the different parishes of the Kollam-Thiruvananthapuram Dioceses.
Kuttikanam Bethel Ashram, Kottarakara Mount Ashram, Pattazhi Calvary Ashram are its branches. The different institutions attached to the ashram are Chengamanad ITC, Kottarakara St Gregorios College, Kottapuram B.Ed. College and Baselios School.
