Ramanthali is a coastal town in
Kannur District of
Kerala. It is on the shores of
Arabian Sea near
Ezhimala Hills (famous for a naval academy).
Payyanur is around 7 km north-east of Ramanthali.
Narayankannur Temple and Juma Masjid are the important shrines located here. Graveyard of the 17 martyrs who laid their life fighting the Portuguese invaders is housed here. Punnakadavupuzha (river) passes through Ramanthali.
Kannur is 30 km south of Ramanthali. Mangalore Airport (106 km north) is the closest airport. Calicut Airport is 132 km south of Ramanthali. Payyanur Railway Station is the nearest railhead.
