Thoppumpadi

Thoppumpadi is a bustling town in Ernakulam District of Kerala and is 7 km from Ernakulam Central Bus Station. It is a major junction, from where roads lead in different directions for Ernakulam town, Mattancherry and Fort Kochi and Palluruthy.

Shops, offices and huge buildings line on both sides of the road. Besides these, there are many industrial and commercial establishments, churches, educational institutions and the town market.

The town has two magnificent, large bridges, one built during the British reign. The old bridge is now used only for two and three-wheeler vehicles. Willingdon Island is situated nearby.

There are public and private buses which connect Thoppumpadi to almost every major place in the district. Taxis, auto-rickshaws and other tourist vehicles are also available. Ernakulam Junction Railway Station and Ernakulam Town Railway Station serve this area. Cochin International Airport is the nearest airport.
