Kadappattoor Mahadeva Temple




Located on the banks of Meenachil River, Kadappattoor Mahadev Temple is one of the famous temples of Pala. Main attraction is the stone idol of Lord Shiva. It is widely believed that a woodcutter got the beautiful idol while cutting a huge tree. Later a temple was constructed at the spot. Built in the north Indian style, the temple is famous as a halt for the Sabarimala pilgrims.

Chembittambalam of Chethimattom, Murikumpuzha Devi temple,Puthiakavu Devi Temple, Lalam Mahadev temple and Ambalapurathu Devi temple are nearby pilgrim spots. The nearest railway station is at Ettumanoor.
