Aralam Wildlife Sanctuary is situated on the slopes of the
Western Ghats, 35 km from
Thalasserry. It covers an area of 55 sq km. The highest peak Katti Betta, covered with tropical and semi- evergreen forests, has a height of 1145 m above sea level. This tranquil sanctuary is the habitat of elephants, boar, sloth bears, sambar,
mouse deer, leopards, jungle cats and reptiles. The nearest airport is
Calicut Airport.
