Dargah Sherif of Sheikh Fariduddin is a holy place located at
Kolahalamedu, a village in
Idukki District. It is associated with Sheikh Fariduddin, a saint of Afghan origin. He arrived in
Kerala and selected Kolahalamedu for his spiritual pursuits more than 300 years ago.
Aandu Nercha is celebrated every year in memory of the saint. The festival, amid much pomp and splendor, attract thousands from far and near.
Kolahalamedu lies near Elappara in Peerumedu taluk.
