Chengamanad, also known as Chennanatu, is a beautiful village situated 10 km north-west of
Aluva in
Ernakulam District.
The Mahadeva Temple situated here is one of the main Shiva temples of Ernakulam District. Munnikkal Guhalayam, famous for an ancient Murugan Temple, is a nearby attraction. An annual 10-day festival celebrated at the Chengamanad Temple in month of
Dhanu of Malayalam calendar (December- January) is a major festival.
