State Highway 30 is a 55 km long stretch that connects
Thalassery with
Koottupuzha near the
Kerala–
Karnataka boundary, in
Kannur District. State Highway 30 starts at Thalassery on
National Highway 17 and passes north-east touching Kadirur, Koothuparambu,
Mattannur,
Chavasseri,
Iritti and Vallithodu, before reaching Koottupuzha near the state border. Beyond Kerala, the road runs up to the enchanting hill station of Coorg (this part of the stretch is under the administration of Karnataka government).
